S&P Catches a Virus
Impromptu Chaos Clinic for 1/31/2020

Last night in my weekly email I said:
This week the S&P sank lower on Monday, then rallied into yesterday;s
FED FOMC meeting, from where it sold off until late today, when it staged
a late rally on news of record Holiday sales at Amazon. Pretty wild.
Despite the rallies, I do think the corona virus is a big deal, especially
given the timing by the Saturn/Pluto conjunction. The next three weeks
will provide a clearer picture. With the second largest economy in the world
stalling, the economic impact world wide could be huge.
So I was alert today to see if the S&P turned down. When it did I posted
this hourly chart. To me it says the S&P has caught a virus. It looks to have
made a major change in trend.
