Yes You Can... Cash In On Chaos!

Chaos Clinic Recap

Here are Al's comments
3:10 posted one last chart in CCT Room
3:05 OK, done for the day-thanks for coming-see you next week-take a course
3:03 covered on stall for -1
2:52 stop missed by one tick, so in a good place
2:49 still OK; if we hold up, the last hour could be volatile
2:42 from here the rest is up to God. I have protected myself against any surprise, which is all I can do
2:35 on that entry I had help from three charts overlaid with a Fractal of Pi, a Face of God, and a Fractal Grid
running charts with eMylar pattersn on two computers
2:31 we still must make a new high to get real short covering, but this move is bothering the bears
2:29 bought 865, stop 862
2:27 I can put a sell stop at 862, one point under last low - not placing it yet, but noting where it should go
2:24 dip right on the Tide time-20 EXMA did not get below the 110-looking for a buy entry
2:19 selling off a bit -Elliotte Wavers are seing 5 "waves" from the outcry open- I see 5 moves in an up Chaos Clamshell, now in 6,
so I'm looking for a 7th up
2:12 I use the tools from my courses to help me refine what I see. They help me be patient, as they show me
larger patterns as they develop. When key points in those patterns line up with trade times, my odds are improved
2:09 I don't try to figure out which Tide I'm on-I just use the Tide times and the tracking indicators,
going with the flow in the trade window
2:05 this is where we could get a switch from green to red tide
2:03 now my mind is clear to take the third trade fresh
2:02 OK, covering on stall for +5
1:55 notice that the congestion ranges are getting smaller - means fewer bears
after 2:30 they will panic and start short covering
1:43 already into the next trade window - this is a working trade, so I may just carry it through and treat it as a GO BIG trade
1:38 stop 864, lock 3
1:35 posted my Fractal Grid chart in CCT Room
1:20 now we're perking-stop to 861; my loss is now controlled to break even
9 pint cover is 870; will take it if get there, not wanting to be too much of a pig
1:14 this is a "two moon day" -means have vertical yellow Moon timelines early and late in the day
these days are often volatile and one way, or Moon-Noon-Moon
1:09 that was quick-barely got it typed ; stop to 58.25
1:06 I excpect from my Fractal Grid (from CTME course) overlay that we start moving now
12:58 early in the day ran on red -Tide, looks like now green +Tide-could end up being red-green-red day
12:42 I can tighten that stop to 856.25, 1 point under last low
12:40 pretty good pop-continuation buy 861 stop 855
12:30 Chaotic markets spend about 50% of their time congesting, then make a chaotic jump to another state of balance.
On the MTRainbow charts you see two balance levels at 843 and 858 plus or minus a congestion range
12:28 that buying may only support a continuation of the flat, but if ti continues it will break the balance
12:24 that little decline was met with buying-if market holds up or down for 2 1/2 hours, usually get a second wave
of buying or selling
12:20 posted 3rd chart in CCT Room-this room is avaialve to Certified Chaos Traders who have taken my 4 basic courses
12:14 I am not too interested in the downside here-major trend from MTRainbow is up
12:11 Moontides show a pretty good run after 12:20 or so - but I want to see some juice
11:58 minor new high -will buy a break above it at 863
11:49 coming into next trade time-retested the high, but did not break it
12:01 not go higher - little down streak on vertical green Sun(H) timeline
11:29 stopped just under Moon flux line
11:13 if you look at the MTRainbow chart, you see that the first trade came as the averages converged, then diverged;
this is the best type of entry; here we are continuing the divergence
11:06 no hotline trade here, but one could buy as a continuation of the first trade-today I'll just watch
becaue I'm doing the clinic, which is complicated
10:57 testing high-Sun is conjoining Neptune and Chiron, so this eclipse has additional cycles at work
10:45 The coming lunar eclipse conbines Node, Sun, and Moon-Node set the high last two days, broken today
so it becomes support; Sun is now the resistance; no accident, just Market Astrophysics
10:42 back-see the market is congesting just under the Sun (H as in helio) flux line
10:13 next trade time is 12:27; Going to take a breakfast break for about 30 minutes
10:09 lucky on that one to get my target-but then luck favors the prepared-I knew from yesterdays' pattern of
thrust-congest- that another thrust was coming
10:01 out for +9. Posted a second chart in the CCT Room-love a fast start
9:51 stop 852; posted a chart in the Certified Chaos Trader's chat room
9:41 stop 849 - 9 point cover is 859
9:37 bought 850 stop 844
9:34 ouctry session starting with buying-need to break above Node at 849 to get a good rally
9:26 On the aux page I have posted a snapsahot of the MTRainbow page overlaid with the free circles eMylar.
Congestions tend to be bounded by ellipses. The overlay gives you an idea of when they might end
9:15 quiet pre outcry
9:00 Good morning from Chaos Manor

Besides the comments made by Al, the chat room is has live
comments from other traders who sometimes share their views,
trades and tips. Below are the chat room comments from this clinic

2/6/2009 1:57:03 PM Mountain TG:: consecutive doji candles led me to pull my stop up tight.
2/6/2009 1:55:56 PM Mountain TG:: did get a 7th move during outcry session but a lame one.
2/6/2009 1:43:56 PM Mountain TG:: these two moon days like to throw out a few moves that shake everyone free before completing the fractal.
2/6/2009 1:42:03 PM Mountain TG:: now have to figure out if it's topping on 2nd moon or picking up juice here. looks like picking up juice.
2/6/2009 1:22:19 PM Mountain TG:: 3 minute bar close more than a point above 110 exma that is.
2/6/2009 1:21:44 PM Mountain TG:: still looking for late rally. a close about 1.25 above 110 would be decent signal.
2/6/2009 12:58:47 PM Mountain Al:: it was my great grandfather's name-used it to stay under the radar of the Bell Labs mucky-mucks, who would have prevented me from publishing anything like In Search of The Cause of Cycles, which appeared in both Stocks and Commodities and Cycles magazine. It is now available in my reprint package.
2/6/2009 12:57:22 PM Mountain DW1:: OK thanks
2/6/2009 12:53:49 PM Mountain Al:: Hannula was my pen name when I worked at Bell Labs
2/6/2009 12:49:54 PM Mountain DW1:: What is the relationship between Dr. Al Larson and Dr. Hans Hannula?
2/6/2009 12:11:31 PM Mountain JAB:: I think that it will be tracking the green tide at the end of the day
2/6/2009 11:57:08 AM Mountain jb:: if following the green tide, we should be topping out around here somewhere
2/6/2009 11:36:48 AM Mountain Al:: sure, anything for a hard working CCT :)
2/6/2009 11:14:26 AM Mountain TG:: Al, can you post your fractal grid in the chaos chat room when and if you get a chance. Thanks.
2/6/2009 10:26:57 AM Mountain acetd:: you can make a case that a small chaos clamsheel completed with a low quality 7th at the high under the moon resistance
2/6/2009 10:08:59 AM Mountain jb:: looks like the market is following the green tide
2/6/2009 9:59:23 AM Mountain DW1:: Thanks I am reading now
2/6/2009 9:55:55 AM Mountain Al:: yes, that is the only one I have-read the tutorial Tradeing the MoonTides and Keep it Simple on the right side of the ListofCharts page-also check out the archive of past emails
2/6/2009 9:54:05 AM Mountain DW1:: You are talking about the Hotline e-mail??
2/6/2009 9:49:42 AM Mountain DW1:: Thanks
2/6/2009 9:46:05 AM Mountain Al:: if you take the hotline, you can trade by just following the
rules-however, be aware that you are competing with traders
who do have superior tools. Your odds of long term success
are increase if you really understand the chaotic nature
of markets, the behaviors they exhibit, and the fractal patterns they create
2/6/2009 9:38:59 AM Mountain DW1:: Do I need to take some of your courses to understand or can I get enough information off your web site and E-mails to trade??
2/6/2009 9:32:36 AM Mountain Al:: ask anytime-I'll answer them when I see them and have time
2/6/2009 9:16:53 AM Mountain DW1:: When is a good time to ask some questions. When you are not busy
2/6/2009 7:36:55 AM Mountain Al:: no-it varies with the Moon phase-near full Moon and new Moon the times are more accurate
2/6/2009 7:20:23 AM Mountain sdg:: GM Al--off the wall question. Any reflection of the profit/loss of trades relative to the trades time? i.e. closer tends to be more profitable.
2/6/2009 7:14:07 AM Mountain Al:: GM all-good luck today
