Chaos Clinic Recap
Here are Al's comments
1:31 I'm done for the day. Thanks for coming. See you next week. Take a course.
1:30 out for 0; a true MM Stinker
1:26 with dullness, I will not make the third trade, just let this one run; the less volatility, the less information
upon which to base a decision. So I got my stop up to "I don't care" and can now just sit
1:25 range of last hour only 1 point
1:23 stop to 1365.5 - break even
1:16 updated my chart in CCT Room
1:11 back-trade still OK - nice walk in fresh air felt good
12:56 my stop is in. I don't want to stare at my screen. Taking Scout and Scamp to the park.
12:51 the Dow is holding a bit above the 1300 level, a psychological level that caught the attention of
the local newscasters a few days ago. staying above it is bullish longer term
12:46 pressing the high-remember-chaos follows dullness- one cannot get bored by waiting
12:28 updated my CCT Room chart
12:24 this is pretty much like watching paint dry :)
12:20 stuck on the -T000 Moon flux
12:14 not much juice, but 440 is steadily up
12:07 I have placed a Face Of God chart in the Certified Chaos Trader's Room. That room is open
to graduates of my 4 main courses. See http://moneytide.com -> Courses for details.
12:00 stop to 1364, just under the 110; here I like that prices are staying one side of the 110
11:58 stop to 1363
11:54 new highs
11:48 the corners of a hex pattern are 12 points apart-so if prices rally, they could go 12 points from here
however, today's lack of juice is a problem
11:45 prices are stable at the corner of a hex pattern-see Hex Wheels Today, right side of ListOfCharts page.
11:41 bought 1365.5 stop 1362.5
11:38 the Sun/Chiron flux are support, have a 20/110 continuation, so looking to buy
11:35 I'm back - not much changed-looking a bit bullish
10:25 stopped for -2. Now taking a break until near the next trade time.
10:13 SPTideTracker chart suggests a switch to the red -Tide
10:08 stop to 1363.5, just under the 110
10:05 OK, biting on the continuation buy-long at 1365.5 stop 1362.5
10:04 Release of economic reports had little impact. Big money probably knew what the numbers were.
9:59 got support on the Chiron and Sun electric field flux lines (Chaos Clinc chart). 20/110 possible continuation
9:53 we do have two economic reports at 9:55 and 10:00-see the link to Economic News on the right side 2/3 way down of ListOfCharts.
Neither of these are reports that are usually played by the hedge fund robo trading machines. I do not trade reports.
But they do factor into my decision to wait. Today, it is dull, so not much reason not to wait.
9:45 may get a 20/110 sell crossing. Will wait a bit if it does, looking for follow through
9:42 the SPTideTracker charts suggests prices are tracking the green +Tide; on any two day chart it looks like
we are in move 4 of 7 in an up Chaos Clamshell.
9:37 the 440 EXMA (MTRAinbow chart) is probable support near 1361, so not much downside potential.
9:35 the MoonTides have a choppy section here, lasting until about 10:05, so I'll try to sit tight until then
9:31 the MTRainbow charts shows an uptrend from yesterday. The 3 minute bars are small, so on the first trade
I'm just watching for a while.
9:27 today's trades are at 09:31, 11:57, and 14:22. Intraday volatility has been low, so
I expect a limited range.
9:26 Good Morning. Welcome to the Chaos Clinic. This site has a lot of charts,
so you may find it useful to have several of them available within your
browser. If you have a tabbed browser, you can open separate charts
in separate tabs by right clicking on any link, and selecting "open in new tab"
from the menu. The main list of site pages is at
http://daytradingforecasts.com/chartlistsec.asp
Recommended pages to watch are SPKISS, MTRainbow, and Chat.
For astro stuff, add SPSunMoonMer, Wheel, and Chaos Clinic.
Chaos clinic comments appear at the bottom of the SPKISS, MTRainbow,
and ChaosClinic pages. Comments in the chat room are announced by a
"duck call" noise. This noise also occurs when the sofware detects a
resonant hex pattern on the Wheel page. Trading tutorials
are on the righty side of the ListOfCharts page. One should
read Trading the MoonTide Tutorial and Keep it Simple as a minimum.
9:00 Good morning from Chaos Manor
Besides the comments made by Al, the chat room is has live
comments from other traders who sometimes share their views,
trades and tips. Below are the chat room comments from this clinic
2/24/2012 2:00:50 PM MT SSP:: Have a good weekend folks !
2/24/2012 11:05:45 AM MT bbb****:: What if instead of changing the Code you just used chat to communicate as if it was a chaos clinic on a different day(other than Friday) and then skipped that Fridays clinic? Maybe once a month? Still giving 3 chaos clinics a month for free...
2/24/2012 10:36:21 AM MT Al****:: Friday was originally the only day I could do it, and now it is hard coded into the website
2/24/2012 10:35:42 AM MT mm****:: to take the words out of Al's mouth: I have suggested this 10+ years ago - but he explains that he cannot change midstream, there are too many traders used to this schedule
2/24/2012 10:30:13 AM MT jts:: Al: Given that each Friday is OPEX and most days very dull, have u considered moving the Chaos Clinic to a different day? Thanks
2/24/2012 10:26:47 AM MT Dubs:: lol, i actually just painted a wall, so i am doing both Al
2/24/2012 8:31:23 AM MT ms:: thank you
2/24/2012 8:28:18 AM MT Al****:: Amen, MM
Vibrations, by Owen Lehto, is no longer available. Occasionally you can find used ones for sale with a Google searh. If you do, buy it immediately.
2/24/2012 8:24:27 AM MT mm****:: looks like another Friday Stinker
2/24/2012 7:58:55 AM MT mm****:: consumer sentiment was very positive
2/24/2012 7:53:22 AM MT ms:: a book Vibrations is mentioned in a video, but I cannot find it... who is the author?
2/24/2012 7:48:04 AM MT ms:: do the upcoming numbers release affect your decisions at all, such as waiting for the numbers before a potential trade according to methodology?
2/24/2012 7:29:21 AM MT ms:: GM Dr. Larson. I've emailed a few times with some questions about the courses before purchasing them. If over the weekend or at your earliest convenience you could reply, I would be grateful as I would like to begin my study. Thank you.
2/24/2012 7:24:30 AM MT Al****:: If you trade reugularly, IB does not charge for the data
2/24/2012 7:18:34 AM MT sdg:: Thanks Al. Moving an account to IB; data price seems reasonable compared to current prices posted on esignal.
2/24/2012 7:09:20 AM MT Al****:: GM all-good luck today
I use IB data for my autotraders. Also use eSignal
2/24/2012 6:35:28 AM MT sdg:: GM all - anyone use IB as their data feed?
2/24/2012 6:34:06 AM MT SSP:: GM folks happy trading today
2/24/2012 5:57:31 AM MT mm****:: gm all - have a great day
