War Upsets the S&P
Chaos Clinic For 3/6/2026

This plasma chart shows the S&P for this year. I have sketched lines connecting
the highs and the lows. The numbers are just for discussion, since the pattern
does not a predefined fractal.Through the center of the chart is a yellow line
showing the year's opening price.
The first 8 trading days were a rally to 1. Then prices dropped sharply to 2,
well below the open. Then in six days prices shot up to a marginal new high at 3.
Then it dropped to a lower low at 4. From there it rallied to 5, a lower high.
At that point, a lower low on move 6 would be normal, but point 6 turned out to be
a higher low than point 4. From 6, prices made a second low at 6B, then
rallied to 7, then started a decline.
That decline was accelerated by the war that the US and Israel started with Iran.
Prices dropped to a new yearly low at 8. Then it rallied up to point 9, at the price
of the year's open. Today prices dropped lower.
Drawing the yellow lines to point 9 encloses a shape that looks like a distorted
Fireball Top. Within that shape the right half is weaker than the left.
This suggests weakness.
This Fireball Top is 58 calendar days long. That is almost exactly two Moon cycles
Notably there was a total lunar eclipse on August 3, 2026.
