War And Crude Oil
Chaos Clinic For 4/24/2026

This one year daily chart of crude oil futures shows the initial effect of the
Iranian war on the price of crude oil.
For the last six months of 2025, crude oil was in a down trend, shown by the
declining 53 day Donchian channel and the 6, 36, and 147 day EXMAs.
Note the harmonic levels of 60, 75, 90 and 105.
After 1/8/2026 things changed. The EXMAs turned up, with the 6 day EXMA crossing the
36 day, normally a buy signal. After that prices stayed above the 6 day until 4/8/2026,
when it dropped below 90. The high on 4/7/2026 is move 1 of 7 in an up Chaos Clamshell.
That move 1 took 3 months. Seven moves would take 21 months. That would be early October 2027!
This seems too long, but we shall see.
